Kaitlynalloway@communityfg.net
I am an Administrative Assistant with the Community Financial Group office in Richmond. I joined the team in 2018.
I have a strong desire to help people succeed and chose to apply my analytical mind to the world of finance. I have enjoyed a long tenure here at CFG and thoroughly enjoy working alongside so many great people.
Coming to work every day brings me joy because I get to watch our clients achieve their life goals. Whether it’s taking a dream vacation, closing in on a first home purchase, or making breakthroughs in their careers, being a guide (and a cheerleader) for them is a very fulfilling experience.
My colleagues would describe me as hard-working and amicable. I’m always happy to have a chat with our financial professionals about the strategies they’re working on for clients, or just grab a bite to eat with colleagues and hang out. When I’m not at work, you can find me relaxing by reading a book or watching TV.

Alan Cota
Financial Advisor
After graduating from Virginia Tech in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, I began my career as a Financial Advisor with Equitable Advisors and, in 2026, joined Community Financial Group. Throughout my experience, I’ve come to understand that financial success and peace of mind look different for every client. This perspective has shaped my approach—focused on personalized planning, thoughtful guidance, and ongoing education—so clients can feel confident in the decisions they make.
I’m also committed to continuous growth as an advisor. I have earned my FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 registrations, as well as my Life, Health, and Annuity licenses, allowing me to better serve clients with comprehensive, informed strategies. My goal is to build long-lasting relationships rooted in trust, helping clients achieve their goals and ultimately enjoy the rewards of their financial planning efforts.
Originally from Midlothian, Virginia, I now live in Richmond with my wife, Grace. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors—whether that’s working on my golf game, hunting, fishing, skiing, or organized sports.
